Ciera Vadnais - Belle
Ciera holds a degree from Concordia where she met her dear friend, Tamara Yakoweshen (who plays Madame de la Grande Bouche). They joined the Stageworks family last year in Mamma Mia. This year, Ciera is humbled and absolutely delighted to perform in her childhood dream role as Belle. Thank you to all who support community theatre and help make dreams come true
Andrew Doerksen - Beast
Andrew has been in a few Musicals over the last decade. This will be his second production with Stageworks and if all goes well hopefully not his last. Andrew loves all things music, and tries not to annoy people too often with his constant whistling, humming and singing. A huge thanks to all the people who support and participate in theater, as none of this would be possible without you.
Aaron Schaan - Lumiere
Aaron is a graduate of the University of Alberta education degree, specializing in secondary level science and mathematics. He is currently working as a Grade 5/6 Combined Teacher. Aaron is very happy to be working on his second show with Stageworks Academy of the Performing Arts after finishing a recent production of Caberet (Herman). Other theatrical credits include: Mamma Mia (Sky), City of Angels (Jimmy Powers), Kiss of the Spider Woman (Prisoner Raymundo), The Drowsy Chaperone (Superintendent), Legally Blonde the Musical (Emmett Forrest), and Cotton Patch Gospel (Joe). Scott Darl Boomer - Cogsworth
A graduate of MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts program as well as the University of Lethbridge’s BFA(Drama)/BEd, Scott is a substitute teacher in the area. Returning from last year’s Stageworks production of Mamma Mia, other recent credits include Cabaret (ELOPE) and Hey Princess (One Wish Theatre Productions). This year, Scott has also been the technical director for Spruce Grove Composite High School’s Theatre Arts program.
Micheal Leoppky- Gaston
Michael is an immature actor who is making his debut in live theatre since he was in high school about one million years ago. He is so grateful to have been introduced to the amazing Stageworks family and all their incredible talent and support.

Petra Mastel - Lefou
Petra is delighted to be doing her first production with Stageworks. She has been in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Greece is the Word, and the Buddy Holly Story. But mostly, Petra loves to draw. She creates her own characters and has done several commissions. She hopes to build a career as an artist.
Ken Mastel - Maurice
Ken is back for his second Stageworks production. He has been in many plays. After Beauty and the Beast wraps, his next three shows are all ones that he has written for the Manluk Theatre. There are two youth productions, Lost Boy (June) and Greece Is The Word (November) and an original musical/comedy called Garbo The Spy! which makes a world debut in April 2021.
Nicole Sawiak - Babbette
Nicole is a lover of all things comics, drawing, painting, singing, acting, and keeping active. She is absolutely ecstatic to share this magic show with you! With that she would like to dedicate her performances to her late Father, as he always loved to see her perform. She is grateful that you get to be our guest today!
Baylee Beveridge - Mrs. Potts
Baylee is an Aries who likes taking long walks on the beach and randomly breaking into song.
She is a quadruple threat: Singing, Acting, Comedy, and Accounting.
It’s always been a dream of hers to be apart of Beauty and the Beast and she can’t wait for the magic to begin.
McKenna Chappell - Chip, Choreographer
This is McKenna’s first year with Stageworks. She is working as the choreographer for Beauty and the Beast and is also playing the role of Chip. She is very excited to share this magical show with you and hopes that you enjoy singing and dancing along!
Tamara Yakoweshen - Madame De La Grande Bouche
Tamara is a junior high school English teacher, who shockingly, has never dabbled in opera before. This is her second show with Stageworks. May this performance bring back the same magic you experienced as a child. Enjoy!
Morgan Gerlinsky - Monsieur D'arque
Morgan is delighted to be coming back to Perform with Stageworks again.
He really enjoyed taking part in “The Little Mermaid” with stageworks, and decided it was time to get back on the stage.
He currently works at Unicon as a sales rep, and spends his days talking to people so why not do it from a stage.
Morgan loves watching anime and people who do stupid things he can laugh at.

Kelly Russell - Silly Girl #1
This is Kelly's second year with stageworks.i saw my cousin do Mary Poppins and thought it looked like so much fun. So when Mamma Mia came along I decided to join the amazing stageworks family. Now I'm hooked. So I I definately had to be a part of Beauty and the Beast. This year i am one of Gastons silly girls. It's been wonderful working with all of the other actors and actresses. I absolutely LOVE all of the energy from our cast, choreographer and our director.
Bethany Doerksen - Silly Girl #2
Bethany is thrilled to be returning to the stage for another performance with Stageworks which has long been another home for her. She has been performing for most of her life and feels the most like herself when she is on stage. She has enjoyed playing a Silly Girl far more than she expected and she hopes you enjoy them as much as she has enjoyed them. #belledoesntdeservegaston
Amie Brown - Silly Girl #3
Amie holds an Arts degree in drama (Augustana University) and Education degree (Concordia University) She made her debut on stage at the Jubilee Auditorium in Evita when she was 8 years old and has been hooked ever since! Beauty and the Beast is one of her favourite Disney movies and she’s very excited to be part of this production with stage works as one of Gaston’s silly girls.
Mackenzie Clark - Ensemble
This is Mackenzies second production with stage works, the first being Mamma Mia, and she is very excited about Beauty and the Beast! She is currently graduated and working as a apprentice hairstylists at Supercuts.
Alex Chouinard - Ensemble
This Alex's third show with stageworks. He is very excited to be in this show as it has been on his bucket list for while now. Alex has been in several shows including Seussical, Bye Bye Birdie, Mulan, Guys and Dolls, Footloose, Wedding Singer, Sleeping Beauty, and Wanda's Monster. He would love to say thank you to all his friends, coworkers and family for their support.
Krista Mendez - Ensemble
This is Krista's debut in a production with Stageworks. Krista is a mother of two who keep her extremely busy. And when this isn't busy enough, Krista teaches Spanish Lessons from her home. A sponsor of Stageworks Productions, Krista is opening some new classes and would love to hear from you.
Austin Tschetter - Ensemble
Austin Tschetter is the man in love with the arts! He's been doing theater for well over 4 years now and will be playing many of the side characters most notably "The Cheese". He hopes you are overwhelmed with the emotional beats in the show and loves it just as much as he does!!
Billi Campbell - Ensemble
This is Billi's fourth year with stageworks. Shes very excited to be part of the cast of Beauty and the Beast. She loved this Disney Classic as a child. Billi has been in theatre from a young age. Some plays shes been part of are Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid and Mamma Mia. She can't wait to help show Leduc this beautiful story about love and adventure
Emily Lowe Rutledge - Ensemble
This is Emily's 5th Stageworks production and return to the Stageworks family from a short break after directing The Little Mermaid. Emily is a director, actor, singer, and regularly involved in productions with Leduc, Edmonton, and Camrose
Pam Rubner - Ensemble
Pam is a stay at home Mom that has always loved to sing and perform. She danced from the time she was 4 until she was a teenager. She was always involved in Drama in Highschool and goes to Karaoke as often as she can. This is her 1st production with Stageworks and is beyond excited to be a part of the Beauty and the Beast Cast.
Jason McCoombs - Ensemble
Jason is delighted to be making his debut performance with Stageworks. He has most recently appeared in “Miss Electricity” at the 2019 Edmonton Fringe Festival. He has also provided the beat as a drummer for several productions, including “The Addams Family,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Sympathy Jones.” He hopes you enjoy this year’s performance of Beauty and the Beast.
Darla Lemay - Director
Darla Lemay is the Artistic Director of Stageworks Academy of the Performing Arts. Darla has dedicated her professional life to growing a performing arts school in the City of Leduc, Alberta, Canada for all who wish to learn about the performing arts no matter their gender, their abilities, or their financial status.
Darla has also directed many Broadway Productions such as; Annie, Annie Get Your Gun, Sound of Music, The King and I, High School Music, Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat, Hairspray, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins and recently Mamma Mia.
Darla’s training includes two certificates in business and arts and culture management. She has traveled and trained in New York City, New Jersey, Virginia, Orlando, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and New Orleans attending business conferences and classes
Marion Brenner - Music Director
Marion is a theatre educator, playwright and singer who loves Jazz, Big Band, Blues and all the harmonies that go with them.
